The conference intends to provide an interdisciplinary forum to policy planners, regulator, researchers, consultants administrators, academicians, entrepreneurs & professional for debate, discussion and dissemination of information, results, innovations and improvisations in the broad area of agriculture-based supply chain management. Conceptual & empirical papers, case studies & doctoral thesis relevant to the theme of the conference are invited from academicians as well as practitioners representing corporate, financial institutions, regulatory bodies and government agencies.

It allows the students to understand sector-specific business and economic concepts; empowering them with management and leadership skill & combining general management studies with sector-specific inputs, these management programs empower students to effect change in the core sectors powering India's economic growth.
Department of Transportation Management
The Department of Transportation Management is a part of the School of Business, UPES, Dehradun. It is involved in producing industry-ready future managers with the excellence in specialized management areas of the supply chain, aviation, tourism and hospitality, and agribusiness. The programs running under its aegis are MBA Logistics & Supply Chain Management (MBA-LSCM), BBA- Logistics Management (BBA-LM), MBA- Operations Management (MBA-Core (OM)), BBA- Operations Management (BBA- Core (OM)) , MBA- Aviation Management (MBA-AVM), BBA- Aviation Operations (BBA-AVO), MBA (Agri-Business), and BBA (Tourism and Hospitality Management). The department has a strong research orientation with various faculty research support and also offers PhD programs in Supply Chain and Aviation Management. Its students are placed in reputed companies like Reliance, Wipro, Flipkart, Grofers, Tata, Jet Airways, Indira Gandhi International Airport, etc.
Department of General Management
Department of General Management addresses the issues of finance, marketing strategy, decision science, HR in rural, urban and semi-urban areas by harnessing and sharing of knowledge among the students, researchers and Faculty Fraternity of SoB. The first step to overcome these challenges is creating knowledge, acquiring knowledge, disseminating knowledge among the stakeholders and also developing professional capacity in the professional area. DoGM aims to develop frameworks for economically viable projects and align themselves to the unmet needs from funding agencies and industry partners.
Research @SoB
SoB is focusing on delivering education as an outgrowth of industry-oriented programs and focus on research. Teaching, academic administration and research are three important legs of any good institution. Critique thinking is best bought out through various research activities, and conference is one of such activity to promote research at SoB. We at SoB are always keen to collaborate with government departments, industries to enhance the quality of the research output. Faculty members are encouraged to avail Seed money support for translating ideas into meaningful projects and also to undergo funded research projects. We organize ICMI (International Conference on Management of Infrastructure) in February annually. AHSCC Agro - Horticulture Supply Chain Conference is an annual event at SoB focussing on contemporary topics related to Supply chain issues of Agriculture end Horticultural.
